New Executive Director

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Spartanburg, Union, and Cherokee Counties welcomes Suzy Cole as its new Executive Director. Suzy comes to the CAC from private law practice where she focused on civil defense litigation as a shareholder with Collins & Lacy, P.C. In addition to her legal expertise, she brings experience in community service with various Spartanburg organizations, including the Spartanburg Housing Authority.

“I am honored to have this fantastic opportunity to work with such a fine staff and Board to carry out our mission of healing abused children in this area,” Suzy said. “No child should have to suffer in silence, thinking that abuse is his or her fault. Child abuse is a community problem that requires everyone’s attention.”

A South Carolina native, Suzy grew up in Sumter and attended both undergraduate and law school at the University of South Carolina. As you may guess, she is an avid Gamecock fan. Suzy and her husband, Derham, make their home in Converse Heights, just a mile from the CAC.

We are excited to have Suzy on board!
